Ben, a shepherd mix, was found at age 3 on his own, lost, possibly abandoned and very hungry. After a few good meals he was ready to find a new home. Sadly, he showed all of the signs of long-term abuse. He cowered to people, lowering his head, tucking his tail, and hiding in his kennel most of the time. He was moved to a foster home to help him come out of his shell.
