Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. - and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born! As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all the animals. As a result, millions of healthy, loving cats, dogs, kittens and puppies face early deaths as a form of animal control.

MFOA is joining with local veterinarians to address a serious problem that plagues the nation and our community. Millions of precious dogs and cats are euthanized each year for lack of loving homes. Nationally, last year alone, seven million animals were euthanized. Statistics reported by Maumelle Animal Services indicate that animals were euthanized each month in our very own community!
